Art & Illustration

A collection  of my other artworks and illustrations.

Featured Work

Animated Self Portrait

This piece was created as part of a uni brief to create an animated self portrait for fictional gallery exhibit.

To create this piece I painted myself digitally on 'Photoshop' and made a collaged background using my own, 35mm film photography. I then animated it using 'After Effects'.

This piece represents my passions and who I am as a person. It shows my passion for photography, collage and nature. It was important for me that I include my face mask and walking stick in the image - my disability is not something I hide from.

After Effects Animations

As part of a uni task I had to animate using after effects, and create a digital sticker sheet. I themed mine around nature and exploring. Each of these are hand drawn digital illustrations that I've brought to life with motion on After Effects

Illustrated Map

For a uni brief I had to create a fully illustrated, Double sided Map. I chose to do mine on The Isle Of Arran, which is an island off the west coast of Scotland. It is one of my favourite places and holds personal significance. I decided to focus on the wildlife of Arran. All illustrations were done digitally on photoshop and based off my own research and experience visiting Arran.

Video shows the physical product I created - an A3, double sided map printed on high quality cartridge paper.

Queer British History

For a uni brief I had to create a 'Niche Guide' to an element of British Life/ Culture. This was a very open brief where we had the freedom to choose pretty much any topic or format.

I chose to focus on the history of Queer rights in the UK and create a timeline concertina book. The book shows a range of key moments in queer history from 1AD till the present day. I really enjoyed researching this book and learning about the protests and campaigns that led to the current rights and recognition we have.
